What is Supervision?
Supervision, sometimes called supervision contact or supervised visitation, is an arrangement where child/ren spend time with a parent or family member in the presence of an independent third party known as a Family Time Worker or Family Time Supervisor.
This setup is often court ordered (but not always) when there are concerns about a child/ren’s safety or wellbeing, or when a parent and child/ren need support to rebuild their relationship in a safe and structured way. At times the purpose may be to protect the child/ren while still allowing them to maintain a meaningful connection with their parent or family member.
At United Moments Supervision, the Family Time Supervisor's role is to observe the interaction between child/ren and parent and record factual notes in a written report. This is done in an objective, neutral and impartial capacity.
